Attendance at Committee Meetings (Appendix 1)

This extensive series of tables shows the attendances of individual members at each meeting of the Committee of the Library.
The names of committee members appear to the left. Sometimes for reasons of  economy of space only initials are used.
The dates of the meetings are shown across the top of each table. Early meetings were numbered, not always with total consistency, and these numbers are shown as appropriate
The number of meetings in each year is given in bold and underlined.
The attendances for each member are shown to the right of the table and the attendance at each meeting is given below.

Each table covers the year from April through to March the following year, and they are grouped by decade as shown below:

Committee Meetings Attendance Summary (Appendix 2)

In these tables the total annual attendances of Committee members are shown.
Overlap between tables is shown by the arrows (< and >) in the left-hand and right-hand columns of the data section of the tables.


Items from the Accounts 1896 to 1916 (Appendix 3)

The surviving account books covering the years 1896 through 1916 give a detailed picture of the day to day expenditure and income at the Library.
This has been summarised in these tables. For each year entries are shown by month for the various suppliers etc.


Debenture Shares (Appendix 4)

This table shows the holders of Bromley House debenture shares, their holdings and the payment history of those shares.


Building Shares (Appendix 5)

This table shows the holders of Bromley House building shares, their holdings and the payment history of those shares.


Dates of General Meetings (Appendix 6)

This table lists the dates, venues and chairmen of the Annual Meetings held each April.


Attendance at General Meetings (Appendix 7)

Despite the detailed records of attendance at Committee meetings the names of those present at general meetings do not survive until the twentieth century.
These attendances are shown in this table.


Attendance at Book Committee Meetings (Appendix 8)

There are records, which are probably far from complete, of attendances at meetings of the Library's Book Committee.
These attendances are shown in this table.


A Stocktaking Notebook from about 1896 (Appendix 9)

This small black-covered notebook contains the details of the 1896 stocktaking and included the titles of some of the books borrowed by subscribers.
It also contains some details of the gas aounts of tenants at Bromley House.
