In 1877 it was recorded that he was told of alterations to the gas lighting (1/1/1877) and in 1883 the space he rented was transferred to Mr Bullivant (4/1/1883).

There is no record of a subscriber with this name but there is a minuted book request for East and West, a quarterly magazine, costing 1s 0d.
The subscription was agreed for one year (30/9/1913).

William Vickers (1797-1882)
Lace manufacturer.
Address: Weekday Cross.
Lord Mayor of Nottingham, 1843-44.
Subscriber: 9/3/1829 to 1/4/1848.
Committee: 1835, 1836.
The name was also found as Vickars.

Gift:
In 1847 he was in arrears with his subscription and his share was liable for forfeit (1/2/1847).
A few months later the balance of a building share was to be paid to him (2/6/1847).
The initial sometimes looks like ‘N’.

William Vickers was a lace manufacturer with a business at Weekday Cross trading as Frearson & Vickers.
He had been born in Mansfield and was a self-taught educated man who taught in the George Street Sunday School.
He married Mary Rogers and they had fourteen children.
He was chairman of the Board of Guardians and associated with the move of the Grammar School to Arboretum Street and with the building of the new Trent Bridge.
He was a deacon of Derby Road Chapel. (Mellors, 1924)
